The Glory of God Through the Construction of the New Church Building
Building a church building is a part of building up Christ's church. The church building will help Sapporo International Church (SIC) continue to walk as the Lord's church.
Through this effort, we hope to become a church that further manifests the glory of God, grow as the body of Christ, and add many new people as people of worship. We hope to mature in worship, deepen in fellowship, and advance in mission in the presence of the Lord.
In addition, we hope to fulfill our role as a "city-centered church," which was confirmed at the time of our founding in 1984, and to experience the special grace that is given to the international church, in which multi-ethnic groups are united in following the Lord together and tasting the foretaste of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Architecture that the Lord will fill
This ministry began in 2019, but it is a ministry that has been prayed for and offerings have been made even before that. This is because we have felt the need for a new building for some time. However, due to the nature of the international church, there are many more guests who return to their home countries than members who stay in Japan, and the members who stay in Japan bear the burden of building for the guests who come in for worship. Of course, there are some guest members who put a lot of effort into building churches, but even so, most of the burden is still borne by the church members. However, this does not mean that only church members can build a church building where they can offer worship services. Even under such circumstances, we are offering what we can while seeking God's help. And we are asking for help from many people, from churches in many countries. Just as one child's offering of five loaves of bread and two fish met the needs of over 5,000 people, we believe that when our small offering is used by the Lord, the needs of those who come to worship from many nations will be met.

Four Concepts
The floor plan on this page is a congregation hall with an estimated cost of 450 million yen, which was built by a design firm in December 2021 after about a year of discussions by the committee, prayer meetings, etc., in accordance with the four concepts.
1. A church building where worship pleasing to God can be offered.
To value worship and make it a place where people can offer focused worship, regardless of whether the form of worship is joint or not.
3. A church building where the next generation can inherit the Kingdom of God.
Make it easy for anyone to enter and use the place for various evangelistic activities.
Prayer Requests
Pray that it will be an exemplary new church building that will build up the Church of Christ and display the glory of God.
Pray that we may rely on the wisdom of God, not on the wisdom of men. That we will do God's will, not our own. May we proceed by listening to God.
Pray that each person on the committee, beginning with the March 2019 General Meeting, will be protected in body and soul. May they serve with grace and joy.
Pray for the realization of the dedication in November 2027, as decided at the March 2023 general meeting.
Pray that all our needs will be met, including financial.

- 2026: Financing and construction start.
- 2027: Completed and dedicated.
